After wandering in the darkness of self-rule for the first 23 years of his life, Pastor Rick had an encounter with the living God, that took him from that darkness into the Kingdom of His dear Son Jesus Christ, who purchased his freedom and forgave his sins
(Colossians 1:13-14). As he pursues the Lord through studying His word, prayer, fellowship, and service, God is doing an ongoing work of transformation in his life.
Shortly after receiving Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives, Rick and his wife, Brenda, enjoyed the privilege of attending Bible school. Since that time, He has served the Lord and His church in various capacities, including worship leader, assisting pastor, and lead pastor-teacher. In 2008, he was called to pastor what is now Calvary Chapel Wisconsin Rapids. Rick and Brenda are excited to be a part of this growing body of believers, and look forward with joy and expectancy to see what the Lord will do with them, in them, and though them.
As we at Calvary Chapel Wisconsin Rapids feast on God’s word together, seek Him in prayer, worship Him in spirit and truth, serve Him and one another in love and the bond of peace, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those wandering in their own darkness, we find ourselves being changed more and more into the likeness of our Savior Jesus Christ.
